More little kittens

My daughter's cat Lilly had six kittens. Two black, two white, one orange, and one gray. they are so cute! Four are now gone to live with friend so we only have one black and the yellow.orange one.

Drug traffic and Mexican politics

It is a shame that six years of Fox presidency in Mexico nothing has been accomplished relative to the vicious trafficking of drugs in Mexico. In a recent interview in CNN for Mexico the son of assassinated Clouthier from the PAN party acused fox of being complacent or complicit with drug traffickers. This is a seriuous accusation more so because it is true!

Presidente Electo

El pasado 5 de septeimbre Felipe Calderon fue declarado presidente electo de Mexico para el sexenio 2006 (diciembre) al 2012. Es un acontecimiento importante como otros en la vida nacional de Mexico por el largo alcance que tendrá. La mitad de los Mexicanos que votaron en las elecciones del 2 de julio estan en la idea de que las elecciones no fueron legitimas por lo que una gran oposicion se esta creando para impedir el funcionamiento del nuevo gobierno.
Parece un callejon sin salida. A diferencia de 1988 cuando un fraude similar impidio la presidencia de Cuahuctemoc Cardenas en esta ocacion la ciudadania esta dispuesta a defender su voto incluso llegando a la violencia. Esperemos ver en los proximos dias que pasa.

July 3rd

The elections in Mexico are going on. Ballots were casted yesterday and it looks to close to call. In the mean time I have to take care of my garden, where the yucas in the front have flowered and need trimming! You know that the flowers of the yuca lant make a delicious salad? Now you know! Here is a picture of the yucas with lots of flowers...

This is not a very good view as the sun was shining and glared it, but I hope you understand and here is a better one!

I sure need to lose some weight!! So today went to the gym walking and exercised for one hour, I'll try tomorrow as well.

Have tried "Pulque"

Pulque is a fermented drink produced from an "agave." A similar cactus as the one where tequila is produced.
If you go to my flickr site you'll see me drinking pulque from a can!!

I'm not sure if "pulque" is distilled you can make tequila or mezcal, I sort of think that you can't.
Other fermented drink from cactae is "colonche" made from the friut "tuna" of the cactus "nopal" which is the one that has flat round leaves. I have to get the proper names for these plants as I feel bad not knowing how to describe them.

Arguments why the PRD should win.
Chains break at the weakest link, The PRD will help the poor prosper and thus help elevate the income of Mexicans. The PRD is the leftist -liberal-progressive party that ruled over the major city in Mexico, the Federal District. Most people are anxious because they are made believe that change is dangerous and that chaos can overcome.

Quien Ganará

Se acerca el 2 de Julio y el supenso incrementa. Las encuestas oficiales le dan el empate a Calderón y a López Obrador. La verdad es que ganará el que el gobierno de los USA ponga. De que manera será esto? Pues hoy en dia el control es muy subversivo y sútil. No es necesario una opresion militar ni una dominacion pública. Se puede hacer por debajolagua, como dijo Wilson hace mucho años, para controlar a Mexico solo se necesita controlar a un mexicano, al presidente! Y así se ha hecho desde entonces.

Las Elecciones en México

Las proximas elecciones en Mexico nos dan una oportunidad de estudiar el comportamiento humano. Nos ayuda a ver cual es el principio en el que los intereses de supervivencia se basa.
Por un lado algunos quieren "continuidad" y prefieren "malo por conocido que bueno por conocer" la incertidumbre de un nuevo sistema confiere un sentimiento de inseguridad. En cierto sentido estos ciudadanos viven en una circunstancia que es aceptable y reaccionan a cambios que ponen en peligro su actual bienestar.

Por otro lado los ciudadanos que viven en circunstancias que para ellos son inaceptables. Para ellos cualquiera que sea el cambio presenta la oportunidad de tiempos mejores. Como podrán estas personas distinguir entre las posibilidades de cambio? En estos momentos existen dos posibilidades de cambio: hacia en PRI en donde se tiene una idea de los usos y costubres de este grupo y hacia el PRD que presenta una interrogante a nivel nacional.
Da la imprecion por las encuestas que la primera opción no está en la mente de muchos Mexicanos, da la imprecion de que las pasadas experiencias con el PRI y la corrupcion con la que se le asocia es un impedimento que por lo pronto parará a este partido.
Por el otro lado tendremos que esperar y ver dos cuetiones. Uno, será respetado el voto? Dos, será la participacion de los ciudadanos realmente representativa?

Primero de Mayo

Interesante resultó la jornada del dia primero. En todo el pais se reflejó la imagen de la raza de bronce. Como seguira el asunto? Es cuestion de esperar y ver como las fuerzas del mercado y la politica se desarrollarán. Las fuerzas naturales no pueden ser detenidas, solo dirigidas y manipuladas. Hasta que punto la manipulacion puede ocultar el verdadero sentido de la fuerza? Hasta el punto en que un cambio sustantivo y cualitativo parece salir como contradiccion de la fuerza que lo impulsa en un principio. Como que no tiene sentido. Lo voy a pensar.

Las Elecciones en Mexico

Voy a usar una metafora termodinamica para explicar lo que siento de las elecciones en Mexico.
Se trata de la idea de energia interna que se mide en funcion de la temperatura. En el caso de gases la energia puede entenderse como movimiento de las particulas. En el caso de un pais yo lo semejaria con la productividad de sus individuos.
El pais es el sistema, pero la vecindad es importante en el sentido que puede determinar el comportamiento del sistema. El caso de los EUA en relacion a Mexico. Los Mexicanos en el extranjero en relacion a las elecciones. Si nosotros los mexicanos en el extranjero no votamos en las proximas elecciones indica la falsedad de las elecciones. Los mexicanos (todos en y fuera de Mexico) tenemos la resposabilidad compartida de hacer que estas elecciones funcionen.
